The Paper Kites - At The Roadhouse [Sunset Burst/Cadillac Blue 2LP]

Australian folk-rockers The Paper Kites unleash their long-awaited sixth album 'At The Roadhouse'. By creating a 'roadhouse' in rural Victoria, the band was able to live-perform their songs in Campbells Creek for a month while recording the album. Pedal steel and smooth harmonies on the tracks add to the atmosphere of the live performance. The lyrics evoke emotions of a lasting romance, with lead singer Sam Bentley describing "talking about [the roadhouse] for years" and being "drawn to the idea".
